¢ Joanne Eide's Story

St. John’s Clinic-Women’s Oncology specializes in treating gynecologic cancer, such as uterine, ovarian, vaginal, vulvar and cervical cancers.

Leading women's cancer services at St. John's is gynecologic oncologist James Bosscher, M.D.(pictured, middle).

Dr. Bosscher specializes in gynecologic cancer and focuses exclusively on treating these types of cancers with surgery, chemotherapy and coordination with radiation oncology, should radiation treatments be necessary.

The clinical staff includes two chemotherapy certified registered nurses, a certified surgical first assistant, and a medical assistant in addition to Dr. Bosscher.

St. John’s Clinic-Women’s Oncology has access to and participates in the latest clinical trials and research programs. The clinic is involved with the Cancer Research of the Ozarks, which provides women with access to the newest treatment options available.

¢ Pap tests and pelvic exams to screen for cervical cancer and other women's cancers are available to all women. Click here for information about programs that provide free or reduced-cost screenings for uninsured and/or low-income women.

About Gynecologic Oncology

A gynecologic oncologist is a physician and surgeon, who specializes in the care of women with malignant disease (cancer) of the reproductive organs. Gynecologic oncologists are “sub-specialists” in obstetrics and gynecology. After graduating from medical school and spending four years in the field of general obstetrics and gynecology, they spend up to three additional years devoted to the diagnosis and care of women with malignant disease of the reproductive organs.

IN GOOD HANDS
St. John’s is proud to introduce the da Vinci robotic surgery system, the latest tool in our powerful technological arsenal. The availability of the da Vinci surgical option means that the recovery time from several common gynecological procedures is greatly reduced, allowing you to get back to your life in days, instead of weeks.
