St. John's Burn Center

Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks

Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks provides resources and support for individuals and their families in the local area who are and have been affected by breast cancer and is the only local organization that provides financial assistance for individuals with breast cancer and their families. BCFO has provided more than 335 southwest Missouri families with thousands of dollars in assistance.

Springfield Catholic Schools

Springfield Catholic Schools St. Agnes, St. Joseph, and Immaculate Conception Elementary Schools, along with Springfield Catholic High School, represent one of fewer than 100 consolidated Catholic school systems in the United States. Since 1870, Springfield Catholic Schools have offered faith-based pre-school through 12th grade education to Catholic and non-Catholic families in the Ozarks.

Foundation for Springfield Public Schools

Foundation for Springfield Public Schools' mission is to raise, manage and distribute funds to benefit nearly 24,000 students of Springfield Public Schools. In the foundation's 13-year history, more than $6 million has been raised to fund Springfield R-12 district programs including field trips, innovative classroom projects, technological advances, professional development, books and scholarships.

Ronald McDonald House
A portion of the registration fee from forms obtained at area McDonald's restaurants will support a new Ronald McDonald House to be located inside St. John's Hospital.  Ronald McDonald House of the Ozarks, located on east Primrose, has offered a special "home away from home" for Ozarks families since 1988.  To extend the care and support of Ronald McDonald House to families right inside St. John's Hospital, St. John's and Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks will open a house on the sixth floor of the hospital by 2010.  The new house will include a living room with a TV and reading materials, educational programs, a quiet room for private conversation and phone calls, a fully equipped kitchen, breast pumps, showers, 10 bedrooms and laundry facilities.

Participants indicating an affiliation with Springfield Catholic Schools and Springfield Public Schools are able to designate 25 percent of their entry fees to support school programs. In the past four years, the schools have received more than $2,000 from the Sunshine Run.
