St. John’s Hospital-Berryville offering Ear, Nose & Throat Services

Bi-Monthly Outreach Clinic with ENT Specialist Dr. Scott Estrem

DEC. 4, 2008

St. John’s Clinic otolaryngologist Dr. Scott Estrem will begin seeing patients bi-monthly at St. John’s Hospital-Berryville the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, beginning Dec. 11.

Dr. Estrem is board certified in otolaryngology and otology. His regular practice is with St. John’s Clinic – Ear, Nose & Throat in Springfield. He completed his medical education, including residency, with the University of Iowa. He is a member of most major societies, associations and boards relating to ENT care.

Dr. Estrem will be assisted by audiologist Megan Widger, AuD, who will provide general hearing tests and services, including hearing aid consultation.

Clinics will be held in the hospital’s Sleep Disorders Center and will focus on common problems of the ear, nose and throat, in both children and adults. Conditions evaluated & treated by Dr. Estrem will include;

  • Ears - balance disorders, chronic ear infections, hearing loss, tinnitus
  • Nose - Allergic Rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, deviated septum, obstructive sleep apnea
  • Throat - Pharyngitis, Tonsillitis, esophageal disorders, larynx (voice-box) problems

Additionally, Dr. Estrem will perform tonsil, adenoid and BMT (ear tube) surgeries in addition to other ENT surgeries here at St. John’s Hospital-Berryville, eliminating the need for travel during recovery.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Dr. Estrem to our local team at St. John’s Hospital-Berryville,” said Hospital President Kristy Noble. “By adding an Ear, Nose & Throat physician to our growing list of on-site outreach specialists, local families can access essential medical services that they would ordinarily have to travel an hour or more to find. It’s a great opportunity for everyone involved.”

Appointments are by referral, and can be made by calling toll free (800) 658-0454     or by dialing direct at 417-820-5750
