WELCOMES NEW ANESTHESIOLOGIST
Alex Keller, M.D. received her medical education from the University of
South Carolina School of Medicine and performed her internship with
Creighton University Department of Internal Medicine. She completed her
residency training with the University of Nebraska Medical Center Department
of Anesthesiology and followed that with an obstetrics fellowship in
anesthesiology at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Keller is board
certified in Anesthesiology.
HOSPITALIST PRESENTS AT ACCP MEETING
St.
John’s
hospitalist Paresh Patel, M.D. made a presented “Pulmonary Langerhans Cell
Histiocytosis in a Patient With Multiple Sclerosis: Mere Coincidence or an
Autoimmune Link?” at the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) meeting
held in Philadelphia.
ST. JOHN’S
PHYSICIAN NAMED MEDICAL DIRECTOR OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF AIR MEDICAL
COMMUNICATORS
Dr.
Charles Sheppard, M.D. has been named the Medical Director of the National
Association of Air Medical Communicators. The group includes all
dispatchers for EMS air and ground critical care. They produce and run
courses for dispatchers to improve the safety and reliability of critical
care transport. Currently, they are working with the FAA to establish
standards and training for air medical dispatchers. Dr. Sheppard’s role
will be to advise on medical and air medical issues as they relate to
dispatch.
BRIAN TIBBS JOINS ST. JOHN’S CLINIC-GENERAL & TRAUMA SURGERY
Brian M. Tibbs, M.D. received his medical education form the University of
Missouri- Kansas City and completed his residency with the same
institution. He rounded out this medical training with a fellowship in
trauma and a fellowship in surgical critical care at Emory University School
of Medicine. Dr. Tibbs is board certified in surgery and surgical care and
is a member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the
Western Trauma Association, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and is an
associate fellow of the American College of Surgeons and fellow of the
Southeastern Surgical Society.

CLINIC-LOCKWOOD WELCOMES NEW PHYSICIAN
Angie Whitesell, M.D. received her medical education from the University of
Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine in 2002 and completed her residency
with Cox Family Practice, Springfield, MO in 2005. She is board certified
in family medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family
Physicians.
