Renewing items
Access your library card account and select the "Number of Items Currently
Checked Out" link. If the link does not appear, you do not have any items
checked out. Select the titles you wish to renew and select "Renew Selected
Titles" or "Renew All Titles". Items successfully renewed will show a status of
"Renewed". Items that could not be renewed will show a status explaining
why the item could not be renewed. Note the new due date of your items, you will
not receive a notice from the library.
Place a hold on an item
Search COOLcat, the library's online catalog, for the title you are interested
in. Once you locate a title and are viewing the detailed record, click on the
"Place a Hold" button located at the top of the screen. You will then be
prompted to enter your name and library card barcode (or temporary card number
if you just registered online) located on the back of
your library card.
Cancel a hold on an item
Access your library card account and select the "Number of Requests (Holds)
Outstanding" link. Select the titles you wish to cancel and select, "Cancel
Selected Holds". If you mistakenly cancel a hold you will need to re-place the
hold, the library cannot reset holds once they have been canceled.
View your reading history
This option allows you to keep a list of the materials you have checked out
from the library. Access your library card account. Select the "My Reading
History" link. You can then choose to keep your reading history or delete titles
from your reading history. The reading history option is the only way patrons
have of keeping track of library materials they have checked out. The library
does not maintain a list of items checked out by individual patrons.
