final journey with the help of family, friends and St. John's HospiceCare. Joy
Robertson
with KOLR10 follows Jeane through the final days of terminal cancer to fulfill
her wish to educate the community about the services that Hospice can
provide.
Every day should be as comfortable and full
as possible. Terminal illness doesn’t mean that you have to give up that
desire. St. John’s HospiceCare helps you and your family maintain hope for a
life of quality, dignity and meaning.
When is hospice care
appropriate?
Terminal illness does not
mean “giving in.” Hospice care brings a new kind of hope; the hope for
dignity and comfort. When a terminal illness has been diagnosed, life
expectancy is 6 months or less and
cure-oriented treatment is no longer being pursued, hospice care is an
option. Hospice care is appropriate when quality of life is your priority.
St. John’s HospiceCare is
able to deliver care to you in your home, nursing home, independent living
and assisted living facility. Through our family of dedicated health care
professionals, paraprofessionals, support staff and volunteers, we provide
expert and compassionate home care services.
