nurses. The program is guided by the complementary missions and visions of Southwest Baptist
University and St John's Health System.
Based on Christian values, the Southwest Baptist University Department of
Nursing pursues excellence by: 1) preparing professionals capable of serving
diverse populations in a variety of healthcare settings, and 2) providing a
clinical and theoretical foundation for life-long pursuit of advanced
degrees, involvement in professional organizations and scholarly activities.

Medical Services
St.
John's
Emergency Medical Services offers the highest quality EMS
education designed to meet the needs of individuals pursuing a career in
Emergency Medical Services. The program goal is to prepare students to take
their place as professionals in the field of pre-hospital care.
EMS provider education programs include
Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, Basic Trauma Life Support, and
Pediatric Basic Trauma Life Support education. Refresher programs include
Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic education.

Pastoral Services
The Clinical Pastoral
Education program seeks to assist development of each student as pastoral
persons in order to meet the spiritual needs of others in the health care
setting. The program provides students with a high quality of education that
occurs through active student involvement.
The Clinical Pastoral Education program at St. John's Regional
Health Center
is accredited by the United States Catholic Conference. The program offers
four basic units to clergy, seminarians, lay and religious women and men
seeking to become more competent in ministry.

School of
Radiologic Technology
In keeping with the St. John's philosophy, St. John's
School of Radiologic Technology provides quality
educational activities, in a personalized Christian environment, in order for
students to learn compassionate methods of caring for patients as well as the
technical skills required to serve patient needs.
Radiologic technology students have the opportunity to use the most advanced
equipment available in learning about radiographic services: diagnostic
procedures, tomography, digital fluoroscopy, mammography, surgical and trauma
procedures, and endoscopy. Clinical education is conducted within the St. John's campus with the exception of rotations at St. John's Smith-Glynn-Callaway Medical
Building.
