Jon Swope
St. John's Health System President / CEO

Jon Swope has been President/CEO of St. John's Health System since 2009. For nearly 30 years, Jon has held leadership positions with the Sisters of Mercy Health System in locations including Missouri (Springfield, St. Louis, and Washington) and Kansas (Fort Scott and Independence). His experience spans from supervising front line co-workers to being named St. John’s Health System executive vice president in July 2008. Jon holds a master’s degree in health administration from Webster University in St. Louis and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Maryville University in St. Louis.


Dominic Meldi, M.D.
St. John's Board Chairman

Dominic Meldi, M.D., became St. John's Health System Board Chairman in 2005. He is an internal medicine physician, practicing at St. John's Clinic- Smith-Glynn-Callaway Medical Building in Springfield. Dr. Meldi completed medical school at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis and a residency at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis.
 

Fred McQueary, M.D.
St. John's Clinic President, Springfield Division

Fred McQueary, M.D., is president of St. John's Clinic, a physician-led, professionally managed multispecialty clinic. The Clinic administrative team also includes a chief operating officer and two physician leaders for both a Rolla and regional division. Dr. McQueary joined St. John’s in 1986 after serving as an assistant orthopedic surgeon at Harvard University Health System and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He earned his medical degree in 1980 at University of Missouri – Columbia; completed a residency at University of Iowa Hospitals and a clinical fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He was named president of St. John's Clinic in February 2008.
