promote educational opportunities based on new and progressive trends in
emergency medicine and critical care. We believe in educational excellence.
Life Line Night Out
Life Line Night Out is a dynamic lecture
series designed to bring quality educational opportunities to rural and
other health care providers of emergency services. Flight crew members and
other guest lecture from St. Johns Health System offer captivating
presentations of the latest trends in emergency care. The evening is
complete with free CEU's, CME's, food and door prizes.
Life Line Night Out is available to any
emergency medical service, hospital, ER, etc. within our service area. For

Ground Operations Safety Course
This course is designed to provide a thorough
knowledge of all aspects of air medical operations with the primary focus on
landing zones and aircraft safety. The course offers continuing education
opportunities for those involved in rescue and fire fighting.
Life Line Flight Preparation Class
This program is an interactive lecture class
designed for ER's and ICU's to assist in expediting air medical transfer of
the critically ill patient. It is the philosophy of St. Johns Life Line,
"successful transport begins on the ground and teamwork is imperative."

Masters of Disasters
Life Line is committed to serving our
community and it is never too early to start training the next generation of
health care providers. This program is aimed at elementary and middle school
students (5th & 6th grade) to assist in securing good safety practices and
basic first-aid techniques. Remember, trauma is preventable. For more

The SOAR Program is structured to allow
health professionals, law enforcement or related EMS personnel who meet
specific requirements to accompany the Life Line flight team on missions.
This program promotes an atmosphere of
understanding and appreciation for every person or agency that provides
quality care for the citizens we jointly serve.
Objectives of SOAR:
- Promote better patient care.
- Provide an educational opportunity to obtain
first hand knowledge of all aspects of air medical missions that include on
scene or inter- facility transports of critically ill or injured patients.
- Create a positive environment for
facilitating a better working relationship between flight personnel and
referring agencies.
- Provide the observer with general knowledge
of helicopter safety.
- Encourage a cooperative spirit between Life
Line personnel and health care providers, law enforcement and EMS agencies.
Requirements:
- Observers must be 18 years of age or older,
weigh 200 lbs. or less, and be in good physical condition. If you are
pregnant, a doctor release is necessary.
- Observers must currently be active with a
health care agency or emergency services provider and certified as an EMT,
EMTP, Fire/Rescue Personnel, Law Enforcement Officer, Communications
Specialist, RN, MD, or currently a student in these areas.
- Observers must pre- register, sign a waiver
indemnifying Life Line, and attend the SOAR Program class presentation.
