Purpose: Supports the “Healthy Alternatives Program” at Boys and Girls Town to provide therapy related to substance abuse, sexual abuse, body image and nutrition.

underprivileged children.

Purpose: Campaign to increase the awareness of cervical cancer and human papilloma virus and encourage women to have annual

Grant Award: $1,814
Purpose: Help replace an oven used to
prepare 200 meals per day for area seniors.

Recipient: St. John’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Grant Award: $10,084
Purpose: Funds raised by Airstream owners during their 50th anniversary rally in Springfield were donated in honor of 1 pound, 9 ounce Gabby Wilson to benefit patients of St. John’s NICU.

Recipient: St. John’s Emergency Medical Services
Grant Award: $25,300
Purpose: Equipment for EMS Special Event Response Team used at events where large crowds or terrain prohibit the use of ambulances. The team is equipped with a specialized cart, trailer, mountain bikes and portable radios.
Source of funds: DeWitt and Associates, Springfield Engineering Company, Price Electric Company and Melton Electric Company.
Recipient: Missouri State University
Grant Award: $3,442
Purpose: Help purchase five AED machines for sports venues at Missouri State University.

Grant Award: $18,000 (Year 2 of $54,000 grant)
Purpose: Support health-related education and programs for children and families.

Recipient: The Kitchen and Ozarks Food Harvest
Grant Award: $101,000
Purpose: St. John's Clinic Force for Good, a charitable group made up of physicians, administrators and staff
conducted its 2005 holiday charitable project, "Holiday Home & Harvest" to benefit The Kitchen Inc. and Ozarks Food Harvest. Funds raised helped Ozarks families struggling with utility and food expenses.

Grant Award: $49,000
Purpose: The Sisters of Mercy Health System (Mercy) established a special fund to assist Mercy facilities damaged by the Gulf hurricanes. $49,000 contributed by St. John’s co-workers was matched by Sisters of Mercy Health System.

Grant Award: $262,000
Purpose: Improvements to the College of Nursing laboratory, classrooms, offices and study space to accommodate recent growth in nursing student enrollment.

Grant Award: $500,000
Purpose: Renovation and renewal of long-term care facility’s 84 patient rooms.

Grant award: $54,000
Purpose: St. John's Clinic Force for Good, a charitable group made up of physicians, administrators and staff conducted its summer 2005 campaign, “Will You Hold a Child’s Hand” to benefit CASA, The Child Advocacy Center, Phelps County Child Advocacy Network and CASA of South Central Missouri.

Purpose: To support the Burn Center at
St. John's Hospital, the only burn center in

Purpose: The 4th Annual Diabetes Fair at Battlefield Mall provided diabetes risk assessments, informational booths and an opportunity to learn more about the prevention and treatment of diabetes.

Purpose: Scholarships and financial aid provided to nursing students. Cumulatively, St. John’s Foundation for Community Health has provided more than $2.3 million in aid to students through the generosity of Mr. J.F. Johnson. In 2006, the nursing school building was dedicated as the “J.F. Johnson Education Center.”
